This is a post to see if I can rank for the term Iphone Canada.

Apparently the Iphone will be released in Canada around the middle of 2008, which places us in Canada nearly a year behind the release of the Iphone in the US.

By all reports, Rogers will be the only phone network able to release the Iphone in Canada as it has the only network supporting the EDGE Technology required by the Iphone to run.

The point of this post is to see if I can rank on this domain for the term Iphone Canada, if I can , I’ll build a site in a subdirectory around the term Iphone Canada. Maybe even get a domain name for it.

It’s interesting to note that the competing sites for this term (Iphone Canada) are pretty weak (most with little PR, few backlinks, and poor on-page SEO) .

WordTracker is saying that there are around 65 searcher per day at the moment for the term Iphone Canada, and Google Trends shows consistently increasing activity for the term. I would imagine that a mini-site that ranks reasonably well for the term Iphone Canada could get a reasonable amount of traffic as the search volume increases as the mid-year date for the release of the Iphone in Canada approaches.

I’d imagine I’ll know in a couple of days whether it’s worth throwing up a site, so let’s sit back and see what happens.
